Operation Christmas Tree, an annual holiday collection program, is gearing up to provide essential support to families in St. Clair Township Ward 1, which includes Corunna, Mooretown, and Brigden and the surrounding areas. Coordinated with the Optimist Club of Moore, the initiative assists over 135 local families each year by providing food and toys.
The program creates excitement in the community and offers comprehensive support to those in need. In addition to the food and toys, families also receive a hamper filled with age-matched books and clothing. These hampers are personally delivered by local firefighters.
Operation Christmas Tree also runs additional initiatives, including providing food to local food banks and offering financial support to local fire victims.
OPP Drive-Through Donation Day
The community is invited to participate in the upcoming OPP Donation Drive-Through to contribute to this important local effort:
When: Saturday, December 6, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
Where: OPP (Corunna Detachment) Emergency Services Building, located at 392 Lyndoch Street, Corunna.
What to donate: Donations of cash, gift cards, canned goods, non-perishable food, and new, unwrapped toys are welcome.
To add to the holiday spirit, Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be on location.
