Sarnia Police are asking the public to help identify a male suspect following an assault that occurred earlier this month.

Police say the incident occurred Feb. 12, around 6:25 p.m., when the victim was entering the common area of his Queen Street apartment complex in Sarnia.

Police say two males and one female — unknown to the victim — attempted to follow him inside.

“The victim asked the parties if they resided there or who they were visiting and they were evasive in their answers, refusing to provide a reasonable explanation as to why they wanted access to the complex,” police stated in a news release. “The victim refused to allow them inside and when he attempted to prevent the suspect from entering, he was struck in the face causing him to fall to the ground. The unknown parties fled from the area.”

The victim received minor injuries.

Police are looking to identify the male pictured in the attached photo, in relation to his involvement in the incident.
