Sarnia’s Jamie Kohlmeier added a local highlight to Friday night’s broadcast of Jeopardy!, appearing as a contestant on the November 21, 2025 episode of the long-running quiz show. Kohlmeier, a beer specialist, is a graduate of Northern Collegiate Institute & Vocational School and later attended the University of Windsor before establishing his professional career.
Kohlmeier faced a highly competitive game, contending with a strong performance from eventual nine-day champion Harrison Whitaker. Throughout the episode, he demonstrated steady knowledge across a range of categories and maintained composure under the pressure of rapid-fire clues.
He completed the game with six correct responses and three incorrect, finishing with a Coryat score of $2,400. Kohlmeier successfully rang in first on eight attempts. He did not encounter any Daily Doubles and made one attempt at Final Jeopardy. His response, “Who is Schrödinger?”, came on a challenging clue that only the leading contestant answered correctly.
Entering Final Jeopardy with $2,400, Kohlmeier wagered nearly his total and concluded the game with $2.
While the episode ended in a runaway victory for Whitaker, Kohlmeier’s appearance marked a notable moment for Sarnia, placing a local resident on one of North America’s most recognized trivia stages.
