Sarnia’s space portrait – 20 years on

It was twenty years ago today, on Nov. 12, 1995, that astronaut Chris Hadfield took this photograph of Sarnia from the Space Shuttle shortly after lifting off from Cape Canaveral on his first flight into space. This image shows the southern end of Lake Huron emptying into the St. Clair River, with Sarnia and Port Huron directly in the centre. Photo forwarded by Mayor Mike Bradley.
