Shell Canada has made a $125,000 donation to Lambton College to support the creation of a new classroom tied to the college’s Women in Technology & Trades program.

The contribution secures the naming rights to the new training space, which will serve as a dedicated classroom for hands-on learning in skilled trades and technology programs. College officials say the investment will help expand training capacity while supporting efforts to advance equity in fields where women remain underrepresented.
Shell Canada has a long-standing presence in the Sarnia-Lambton region and continues to invest in local talent development. Many Lambton College graduates go on to work in the energy and industrial sectors, including with Shell, creating direct pathways from education to employment.
The new classroom is expected to strengthen practical learning opportunities for students while reinforcing ties between local industry and post-secondary education.
College representatives say the donation will have a lasting impact on students preparing for careers in skilled professions and technology.
