Officers with Sarnia Police’s Emergency Response Team surround an apartment in the 100 block of Brock Street Tuesday, where a man being sought by police barricaded himself inside a second floor unit.
The standoff lasted more than 10 hours, with the area closed off for several hours while negotiations took place.
The man, 32, surrendered peacefully at 8:30 p.m.
He faces 17 charges, including assault, arson, criminal harassment and possession of a weapon while prohibited.
