A local player was among three new prospects drafted by the Sarnia Sting at the 2019 Under 18 Priority Selection last week.
Ben Diamond, a forward who played with the Jr. Sting Midget AAA team, was selected in the third round, 46th overall, on April 10, the team said.
The Sting took Markham Majors Midget AAA goaltender Curtis Boothe in the first round, followed by defenseman Nikolas Vanclief of the Don Mills Flyers Midget AAA in round two.
