Sarnia Sting forward Jamieson Rees was one of the final cuts at Canada’s national junior team selection camp in Alberta.

The 19-year-old centre potted three goals at the selection camp but was among the last nine players cut from Canada’s 25-man roster.

Rees had 18 goals and 43 assists for 61 points in just 39 games for Sarnia in the Ontario Hockey League last season.

The World Junior Hockey Championship begins Dec. 25 in Edmonton. Canada’s first game is Dec. 26 against Germany.
