Held on August 6, 2025, the county-wide lemonade stand competition raised $44,200.27 in support of youth mentoring programs through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton.
With over 60 local businesses setting up stands across Sarnia and Lambton County, the event once again proved to be a summer highlight—not just for its fun and flavour, but for the lasting impact it will have on local youth.
The annual event supports the organization’s purpose of mentoring young people who face adversity and need consistent, supportive relationships. Through both group and one-to-one mentoring, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton helps youth build greater social and emotional competence, enhances opportunities, and supports their mental health and well-being.
Locally, the need for mentorship continues to grow. The agency served over 700 youth last year, and more than 100 young people are currently waiting for services. Funds raised through the Big Squeeze will be directly reinvested in providing programming to Sarnia-Lambton youth who need mentoring.
