Women of Excellence event returns June 5, tickets on sale April 14

Sarnia Community Foundation to host annual luncheon June 5 at Dante Club, featuring Parkinson Canada CEO as guest speaker.

Tickets for the 2025 Women of Excellence event, hosted by the Sarnia Community Foundation (SCF), will go on sale Monday, April 14. The annual luncheon, now in its ninth year, takes place Thursday, June 5 at the Dante Club in Sarnia.

This year’s keynote speaker is Karen Lee, PhD, President and CEO of Parkinson Canada. Lee, who is leading national initiatives to improve quality of life for people living with Parkinson’s, is recognized for her scientific leadership and community impact. She was awarded the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine’s Alumni Award of Distinction and is a member of YPO, a global leadership community. 

Individual tickets are $60, or a table of eight may be reserved for $500. To reserve tickets, contact the SCF office at 519-332-2588.

The Women of Excellence event supports several SCF scholarships that aim to advance opportunities for women and girls in Sarnia-Lambton. These include the Jean Macdougall Fund for Women in Politics; the Blue Eyes Big Heart scholarship for women leaving abusive situations to pursue post-secondary education; and the University Women’s Scholarship.
