Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at St. Joseph's Hospice, Howard James "Jim" Allen passed away at the age of 64. Beloved husband of Lori Allen. Loving father of Jonathan (Julie) and Dana Stables (Jake). Cherished grandfather of Sawyer and Beckett. Loving son of Patricia, and the late Jim Allen (2010). Dear brother of Craig (Karen), Shelley Gould (Bob) and Brad (Heather). Brother-in-law of Noel Butt (Susie), Alison Delmage (Todd), Katy Dobroski (Adam) and Sara Scott (Randy). Jim will be missed by his nieces, nephews and friends. Jim enjoyed a career with CN for 32 years. Avid fisherman, boater, and Toronto Maple Leafs fan. Above all a devoted family man. Known for his big heart and sense of humour. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday, May 20, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. with one hour of visitation prior from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Canadian Cancer Society or the Bluewater Anglers (cheques only at the funeral home please).
