Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Friday, May 1st, 2026, at his home, Paul Babcock Jr. passed away at the age of 60. Beloved husband of Tracy. Loving father of Jessica, Kyle (Lyndsie), Amy (Matt), Alisha (Paul), Bobby (Katherine) and Staci (Tyler). Adoring papa/pops to Madison, Lily, Callum, Will, Jace, Ellie, Molly, Alivia, Lucas, Lydia, RJ, Violet, Fred, Fenna and Holland. Dear brother of Penny, Todd, twin brother Peter (Val) and brother-in-law of Bob (Pam) Armstrong, Bob (June) Kootstra, Teresa Kootstra, and Marlene (John) Hoekstra. Predeceased by his parents Fran and Paul Sr. Fun, loving uncle to many nieces and nephews and lovingly remembered by many aunts and uncles.
Paul Jr. was the owner of Babcock Welding and Marine Services, a dedicated board member of the Celebration of Lights and Canada Day Fireworks committees, a past president of the Moose Lodge, volunteered with Noelles Gift and was proud to donate school supplies to children in Jamaica (with his good friend Rick) and aid on mission trips to El Salvador through Shelter Canada.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. A livestream will be available on Paul’s memorial page at the time of service.
