It is with a heavy heart that the family of Joan Battram (née McAlpine) announce her sudden passing at home on August 10, 2024, at the age of 67.
Beloved wife of Michael Battram of 49 years. Loving mother of Christina (Kevin) and Shawn. Adored mamma of Kacey, Eric, Molly, Olivia, and Charlee. Joan was a dear sister to Don (Marg), Jim (Liz), and John (Barb), and was predeceased by Wayne. Dear Sister-in-law of Jannet (Russell) and Jim. Joan will be sadly missed by all nieces, nephews, cousins and the community of North Middlesex.
Joan was a family-oriented person who truly enjoyed Sunday dinners with her family. Together, she and Micheal created many memories that included travelling and gathering with the people they loved most. Joan will remembered for being a hard and dedicated worker, and also, as the rock of the family.
The family of Joan would like to thank anyone who has reached out with their kind words and support.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Parkhill Legion, Branch 341, 200 Broad Street, Parkhill, on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Words of Remembrance at 2:00 p.m.
