Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Trillium Villa, Gloria “Ma” Donna Jean Brown passed away at the age of 80. Loving mother of Gary (Jeannette) Wicks and Jeffery (Stephanie) Wicks. She was known as Grandma Ice Cream to Christopher, Bradley, Aaron, Jeffrey Wicks, and Valerie Lynn “Vallie” (Adam). Treasured great-grandmother of Robyn Rose and Reece. Predeceased by her spouse Robert Brown, parents Roy and Clara Harold, and two brothers Jack and Roy Bob, and sister Maggie. Ma loved her two sons deeply and referred to them as her “sunshine”. Ma was known for serving up ice cream for many years for the residents of Sarnia. She enjoyed going to Jackpot City and playing Bingo. Ma was a cat person, having two of her own, Savanna and Destiny. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Please feel free to dress casually, just as Ma would have wanted. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to a charity of choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
