Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Heather Marie Carr (Gillatly) passed away at the age of 71. Born in 1954, in Sarnia, Ontario. Fifth child to James and Yvonne Carr (predeceased). Survived by her brother Malcolm (Karin) Carr, Samuel (Audrey) Carr, and sister Kathryn. Predeceased by brother Alan Carr and sister Dianne Carr. She is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. In 2006, Heather married Donald Gillatly. Heather has one child, Adriane who will miss her dearly. Due to illness, Heather wasn’t able to work regularly, so she often volunteered with social agencies, the Women’s Interval Home, Inn of the Good Shepherd, The Unitarian Fellowship, CMHA, Patterson Memorial Presbyterian Church, St. Joseph’s Hospice, Vision Nursing Home, and the Organization For Literacy. Cremation has taken place. A private gathering for family and close friends will take place. Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
