Peacefully on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Twin Lakes Terrace, Shirley Marie Christon (nee Towner) passed away at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Wm. “Bill” Christon (2021). Loving mother of Scott (Michele) and Janet (Stephen). Cherished grandmother of Cydney, Carter, Grace, and Jack. Dear sister of Robert (Lorna) Towner and Bruce (Fran) Towner. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Walter and Barbara Towner. Shirley was a woman of faith. She had a love of teaching and music. Shirley had an unconditional love for her family and their pets, and always kept her family in her prayers. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. The family would like to thank the staff at Twin Lakes Terrace for the care they afforded Shirley while she resided there. The compassion shown, especially over the last few weeks, to Shirley and the family was outstanding. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, 248 Vidal St. N., Sarnia, on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with family and friends being received one hour prior. Burial of ashes will take place at Lakeview Cemetery. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to All Saints Anglican Church, Heart & Stroke Foundation or Cancer Research Society (cheques only at the funeral home please).
