Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Sumac Lodge, John “Jack” Frederick Crooker passed away at the age of 94. Beloved husband of Margaret Crooker for over 75 years. Loving father of Catherine Bisnette (late Paul) and Lynda Henderson (Ron). Cherished grandfather of Jim Hamel (Aimee), Jennifer Cooper (Chris), and Jeremy Henderson. Treasured great-grandfather of Maggie, Brooke, Elle, Bennett, and Blake. Jack loved to sail, with his first boat “Jamar” built by himself and a neighbour (Jon). Sadly that boat broke, however, his love of sailing did not. He and Marg were very active with square dancing, bowling, cards, curling, and friends. Jack worked at Canadian Oil/ White Rose/ Shell until his retirement in 1990. His bright blue eyes finally lost their shine after a short battle with dementia with family by his side. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Jack’s wishes, no services will be held. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Sarnia & District Humane Society, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
