It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill at the age of 91. Loving husband of the late Helen for 43 years. Father of Greg (Lois), Gary (Janet), Scott (Brandy), Lesley (Brian), and Chris (Carey). Cherished grandfather of several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by brother John (Elaine) of Arizona; Sister Carole of Corunna; and brother-in-law Dave Crawley of Chatham; sister-in-law Wendy (Dan)Baranek of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Jessie Elliott, brothers Robert and James; sister Margaret Richardson; daughter-in-law Nancy Elliott; and sister-in-law Linda Crawley. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bill was born and raised in the Petrolia area and attended SCITS high school. He was employed at Polymer (Arlanxeo) where he worked for 41 years. Bill loved life and took advantage of every opportunity to enjoy it with family and friends. He touched many lives as well as being a great storyteller who loved to laugh. He always wore a bright smile. He particularly enjoyed the company of his many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was an active member of the Bluewater Ski Club, enjoying skiing trips to Colorado, Idaho, Vermont, Utah, California, and Eastern and Western Canada and was a social member of the Sarnia Yacht Club. He was an avid golfer at Huron Oaks and Greenwood and a member of LARGA.

Visitors will be received on Monday, January 29, 2024 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Wyoming Chapel of Needham-Jay Funeral Home, 650 Broadway St. Wyoming where words of remembrance will be shared at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Hillsdale Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Moose Lodge, 874 Phillip St. Sarnia from 3 to 6 p.m.
