With deeply saddened hearts, the family of Orrin Farr announces his passing on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Bluewater Health at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Donna (nee Loyst), who he has missed everyday for the past four years. Loved father of Mike, Walt (Fran) and Donna. Cherished grandfather of Nicole (Dan), Meghan (Dan), Brett (Emily), Tony, and Nic (Jackie). Much-loved G Grandpa of James, Paul, Sebastian, Jaxon, Mason, Charlotte, and Alevia. Dear brother of Wayne (Judy) and brother-in-law of Karen. Predeceased by his parents Orlando and Kathleen Farr, brothers Ron (Betty) and Bern, and sister Marilyn. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. A special thank you to his Brights Grove neighbours – he loved his porch visits.
Orrin worked at Polymer for 35+ years as a Boilermaker/Tin Snip. In retirement, he and Donna enjoyed winters in Fort Myers, Florida for many years, where he was often found improving his golf game. Orrin was an avid supporter of Lambton County Developmental Services and was an active board member for many years.
Cremation has taken place. An open house to celebrate Orrin’s life will take place on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Smith Family Centre, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Lambton County Developmental Services (cheques only at the funeral home please).
