Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on August 23, 2025, at Trillium Villa Nursing Home, Alta Frances Fisher passed away at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Ross Fisher (1996). Loving mother of Trudy (Robert) Neal and Larry Fisher. Cherished grandmother of Damien Neal, Brett Neal, Andrea (Mitchell) Sutton, Shelley (Mike) Coates, Stacey Fisher and Paula Mahood and great-grandmother of 9. Treasured sister of John McClellan. Predeceased by her parents John and Mabel McClellan and her sisters Bertha Eascott, Betty Cowan, Ada Brown. Alta was a member of High Park United Church and through the church she was a 20 year volunteer at the Inn of the Good Shepherd soup kitchen. Alta was an avid 5 pin bowler, lawn bowler and loved playing euchre in her card club. Cremation has taken place. An open house to celebrate Alta’s life will be held at Smith Family Centre, 1576 London Line, Sarnia on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer Society (cheques only at the funeral home please).
