Silas Andrew Greenbird, a member of Walpole Island First Nation passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home on August 6, 2024 at the age of 53. He will be forever loved and cherished by his wife Dobbie. Loving Dad of Shawnee, Andrew, Silasadee and loved papa of Akasha, Brodie and Arizona. Son of the late Noble and Gladys Hilda (Shipman) Greenbird. Loved brother of Lonnie Shipman (the late Angela), Daniel Greenbird (Melissa), Myra Greenbird (Bob), Eunice Rose (Richard), Lorne Greenbird (Samantha), Sherry Kicknosway (James) and Bonnie Greenbird (Adam) and the late Spencer Greenbird. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and extended family as well as his ‘work family’ at Walpole Island Public Works. Family and Friends are invited for visitation and a wake service at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231), on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 5-7pm. His funeral service will be held at the Walpole Island Sports Complex on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 2pm followed by cremation.
