After 105 1/2 years, Molly closed her eyes and died with the same grace and dignity with which she lived her extraordinary life. Molly was predeceased, in 2004, by her beloved Ken with whom she shared 63 years of happy marriage. She will be forever loved by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Colin Oliver, her grandchildren, Craig Oliver and his wife Jaime and Stephen Oliver and his wife Colleen Rice. Her great grandchildren, Russell, MaryJane, Nevaeh and Ayzah Oliver were so very precious to her and they will each have lasting, fond memories of their GiGi. Molly and Ken were married during WWII in 1941 while Ken was on active service in the Royal Navy and Molly was employed at the Royal Aircraft Establishment. They always considered themselves very fortunate to have survived the war and then to raise their daughter in a happy and loving environment. Molly will be especially missed by her treasured niece Mandy and her husband Tony Reading and many more family members in England: by her special friends Shirley and George Bociurko and Liz and Frank Rice of Sarnia, Wilma and Steve Maher of Camlachie and many friends from St. Michael's Church in Brights Grove. Molly/Mum/Nan/GiGi leaves us all with a legacy of love and kindness and she will be missed more than mere words can convey. Special thanks to Dr. Jean Lising (retired) Sylvia and Diane who took care of her for so many years. To her beloved Jill and PSW's from VON, Patty from Lambton Elderly Outreach, Nurse Bernie and Dr. Orla MacSweeney from the palliative care team. In lieu of flowers, those who wish are invited to donate to the Inn of the Good Shepherd, St. Michael's CWL or a local charity of your choice. A funeral will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., St. Michael's Parish, 1920 Wildwood Dr., Brights Grove, followed by a reception and visitation at 11:00 a.m. in St. Michael's Meeting Room. Interment of ashes at 1:00 p.m. at Resurrection Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
