Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Wayne Heard passed away at the age of 78. Beloved wife of Candy for two wonderful years. Loving father of Julie (Bruce), Jason (Maggie) and Ashley. Cherished grandfather of Matthew and Juliette. Treasured brother of Beverly (the late Lenny), Richard and Sharon. Son in law of Ken and Dorothy Dupuis. Will be missed by his loving companion Jack. Wayne is survived by many nieces and nephews, friends and extended family. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Rosalie Heard, his brothers James, Joe and Ted and by his sister Nancy. Wayne had a vibrant and competitive spirit especially while playing darts and his favourite dice game Turbo. He had a deep love for traveling, particularly cruises and always held a special place in his heart for Mexico. Wayne will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him. Cremation has taken place. Close friends and family are welcome to attend a celebration of Wayne’s life at the St. Clair Corporate Centre (St. Clair Room) 265 Front St. N, on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Sarnia and District Humane Society or to the Canadian Cancer Society (cheques only at the funeral home please).
