HOPPER, Lynne

Lynne Hopper passed away at her home on February 14, 2024 with her family by her side after a long battle with cancer at the age of 67. 

She is survived by her husband Bryon Wilkinson and her four children; Tracy Dickey (Shawn), Daniel Jefferson (Natalie), Chrystal Hopper and Tonya Hopper (Paul). Lynne was a wonderful stepmother to Anthony Wilkinson (Amy), Becky Williamson (Jeff) and Emily Johnston (Ian). Loving grandmother to 19 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Lynne is predeceased by her father Sherman Marsh, mother Betty Anderson-Boyer, brother Tommy Marsh and stepsisters Dorothy Wight-Ireland and Jeanne Pearson-Hall.

Lynne was born and raised in Arkona. Lynne worked in the healthcare field as a Certified Health Management Professional. She began her career as a switchboard operator at the Strathroy hospital in 1974 and went on to become manager of the Health Record department at several hospitals throughout Ontario (Clinton, Wingham and Listowel, the Four Counties and LHSC to name a few). Lynne was also the program Director teaching the Health Information Management course at Compucollege in Newfoundland. Lynne was a volunteer member of the Health Information Management Association as well as was on the executive board of OHIMA and served as president for several years.

Lynne had a very strong Faith in God and trusted in His promises which got her through the trials of life, especially with her battle with cancer.

Lynne will be dearly missed by her special friends Ruth Feltz, Joyce Steeper and Deb Tetreault. Bryan would like to express his heartfelt thanks to them for their support and friendship to Lynne.

At Lynne's request, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory can be made to the London Regional Cancer Centre.
