Mr. George Houle, a resident of Port Lambton, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at his residence, in Port Lambton, at the age of 77.
George was born in Lambton and was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Toms) Houle. Beloved husband of the late Aileen (Keen) Houle. Best friend and companion of Kellie (O'Neil) Johnston. Loving step-father of Susan. Sadly missed by Dan (Pauline) Bunnell and family. Kind brother and brother-in-law of Robert “Bob” (Rita) Garsnell, Butch (Colleen) Houle, Alex (Sylvie) Houle and Stephen (Yvonne) Houle. Predeceased by his sister Marie Hurst and brother Edward Houle. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
George was a dedicated farmer for many years. He retired from the plumbers union #663, after many years of work. He was a part of the Knights of Columbus 3rd degree council #2102 4th degree assembly #2600 and the cemetery board.
Arrangements entrusted to the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from Sacred Heart Church, Port Lambton, with visitation 1 hour prior from the church. Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Port Lambton.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Chatham-Kent Hospice or the St. Joseph’s Hospice (Sarnia) may be left at the funeral home.
