After a long battle with cancer, in the arms of his wife, James Alexander Jamieson (Jim) passed away on October 4, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Hospice at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Jacky for 31 years. Father of Drew (Ashley) and Brent (Tracy). Grandfather of Jett. Brother of Guy (Ann Marie) and Mark (Joanne). Uncle of many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law to Claire McKinnon (Bob) and Lauri Mead-Kreuzer (Ron). Dear friend of Denis (Cheryl) who was always there when needed. Predeceased by parents John and Gloria Jamieson. Jim always had a motorcycle. He loved to ride his “Harley” as he often said to “blow the cobwebs out of his head”, on those long curvy roads. He also enjoyed a game of golf, or later in life, just a coffee with his good friend Denis, going to the cottage, campfires with friends and family, yearly visits to the condo in Florida, and cruising with his wife, and often friends. Jim established his business in 1980, James A. Jamieson Accounting until his retirement in 2016. It was always his dream to have his own business and be his own boss. A special thank you to Dr. Kim and the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice for their compassion, excellent care, kindness, and support during a difficult time. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home – London Line, Sarnia, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
