William Gourley Jarvis of Wallaceburg passed away peacefully at the CKHA-Public General Campus on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at the age of 85. William is the son of the late Robert Jarvis and Charlotte (Gourley) Jarvis. Loving father of Stephen Jarvis, Gordon (Laurie) Jarvis and James Jarvis (Suzan Kilbride–McDonald). Dear grandfather to Quentin, Jillian, Larsson and Keegan. Brother of Mary (John) Flynn, Tilly (Walter) Kelly and Margaret (David) Tennant. Born in Scotland, William was a boilermaker, learning his trade in the shipyards of Glasgow. He emigrated to Canada in 1966 and was a member of The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local 128. Family and Friends are invited for visitation at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, May 21. The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Wallaceburg on Wednesday, May 22 at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
