After a fierce battle, Graham Jillson, age 38, has returned home to join his sister, April, and mother, Vickie. He was deeply loved by his father, Chris, his twin, Greg and sister, Lindsay, as well as his stepmother Andrea and brother-in-law Josh. Graham knew no strangers, he enveloped every person he met with his warmth and joyful personality. A proud member of Windsor Iron Workers Local 700, Graham was a well-liked welder, who loved joking with his fellow workers and always strived to make everyone feel comfortable. Though Graham was not of Native American origin, he was gifted the spirit name Zhaawanaang-noodin (South Wind) which blows with love and talks about his big, strong, heart. Graham was a humble member of the Anishnaabe Thunderbird Sundance of Ontario, where he used that love to dedicate countless hours to prepare the Sundance grounds from the very beginning, instrumental in helping many people heal for generations to come. Graham was a dedicated Oshkaabewis (helper), always leading with a huge smile, huge heart, kindness and generosity. A lifelong kid himself, he loved children, and was "uncle Graham" to all of his friends children, and grandchildren. His journey was not always easy, but Graham was always able to move forward with his hopefulness, charm, and optimism. He will be missed endlessly by his friends, and we are forever grateful to them all – especially to everyone who supported him in the ICU by sharing stories, snacks, and tears, including Tyson Lindsay, Jay Campbell and Garry Raymond. Graham's friends and family would like to thank Dr. McCreery and the entire staff of the ICU at Bluewater Health. Your kindness and medical care gave us great solace in an uncertain and horrible time. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Ryan’s House (cheques only at the funeral home please).
