Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Bluewater Health, Maria Karamboulas passed away at the age of 69. Beloved wife of Demetrios “Jim” Karamboulas. Loving mother of Christina Karamboulas and Dina Karamboulas (Andrew McRae). Cherished grandmother “Yiayia” of her princess Sofia and dear grandson Alexander. Treasured sister of Christos (Litsa), Sofia (Nontas), Christina (the late Vasilis) and Dimitri. Predeceased by her parents Nickolas and Konstantina Pournara. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Maria will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and Yiayia. Her generosity and loving spirit will never be forgotten. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1299 Murphy Rd., Sarnia.
