Peacefully, on one of her favourite days of the year, Thursday, December 25, 2025, at Afton Park Place, Jeanne Knight (nee Vautour) passed away at the age of 88. Reunited with her loving husband, the late Henry Orval Knight (2019). Loving mother of Denise (Judy), Dan (Joanne), Roger and Alan. Cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Madeline (nee Cosette) Vautour.
Mom was bigger than life. She was involved with the Citizen Action Group for Road Safety in the ’70’s and volunteered for the Provincial Elections. Jeanne spoke her own language, being a French Canadian. She played guitar and sang during family gatherings, and she loved Christmas.
Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Jeanne’s wishes, a private burial of ashes will be held. A gathering of family and close friends will be held at the Point Edward Ex-Servicemen's Club, 503 Michigan Ave., Point Edward, on Friday, January 2, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
