Janet Marie Knowles passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Bluewater Health on Friday, January 23, 2026, at the age of 74.
Beloved mother of Tanyea Honsberger and Kim Myers (Jason Freer). Much loved Nanny to Jasmine (Ryan), Dylan, Hudson, and Hunter, and cherished great-grandmother to Sullivan and Theodore. Dear sister of Donna Saleh (Sam). Janet is also fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frances Hill and James Knowles, and by her brothers James Knowles, Daniel Knowles, and John Stewart.
Janet was incredibly proud of her grandchildren and found great joy in gardening, a passion that brought her peace and happiness.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to her nurse and dear friend of 17 years, Debbie from Bayshore Health, as well as her long-time PSWs, Jody and Tracy from CarePartners, for their compassionate and dedicated care.
In keeping with Janet’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sarnia and District Humane Society.
