Maureen was born on September 5, 1941, in Sudbury, Ontario, and grew up in Sarnia, the city she loved. She passed away unexpectedly on September 24, 2025, with her family by her side.

Maureen was the devoted wife of John Lewicki, a loving mother, and a cherished grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her children, Catherine Lewicki of Calgary and Michael Lewicki of Dubai, and by her grandchildren, Jessica and Michael, both of Calgary, and Katlyn (Kyle Thomas) of London, Ontario and by her great grandchildren Hannah and Brayden of London, Ontario. She is also survived by her brother, Paul J. Kilby of Sarnia, and her sister-in-law, Bernice Holata of Hamilton, she was predeceased by her brothers Brian, John, and Michael Kilby, and by her brothers-in-law William, Edward, Charles and Joseph Lewicki.

After attending Nursing School in London, Ontario, Maureen pursued a successful and fulfilling career as a psychiatric nurse at Sarnia General Hospital. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her patients, bringing compassion, professionalism, and genuine care to everyone she worked with. Her dedication left a lasting impression on countless lives, and she took great pride in helping others through both their challenges and triumphs.

Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Maureen's memory (cheques only at the funeral home please).

Maureen's warmth, kindness, and laughter touched countless hearts, and her legacy of love and joy will live on in all who had the privilege to know her. Truly, she was the kind of person everyone should have had the benefit of having in their lives, and her life was a testament to compassion, gratitude, and the joy of laughter.
