With heavy sadness in our hearts we announce the passing of our beloved son, Christian Edward Litrenta on Monday, May 20, 2024 at the age of 29. Son of Ed Litrenta and Krista (Perry). Loving brother of Carly (Garrett) and Anthony (Shayna). Remembered by his aunts and uncles Phil (Brenda) Litrenta, Barb Kropf, Frances (Len) Pace, Wes (Cheryl) Huff, and Jason (Sue) Huff. Treasured cousin of Terry (Stacey), Melissa (Andrew), and Thomas (Alyse) Litrenta, Patrick (Leigh), Katie and Leanne (Ryan) Kropf, Maddie and Ben Pace, Cory, Jamie, Adam (Karlie), and Kalee Huff. Dear friend of Micayla Dart. Predeceased by his grandparents Clifford and Donna Huff, and Antonio and Esterina Litrenta, and cousin Alex Pace.
Much too young to leave this earth, his struggles went on from a young age and he battled them right to the end. He was loving and kind to everyone, always including and accepting of those most in need of a friend. He had a special place in his heart for late kitty “Shimmy” and his best fur buddy “Schmoosie Kitty”. Each evening he would enjoy Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, always amazing us with the answers he would know. He loved to shop, buy nice clothes and do his daily walks through Canatara Park with his mama. He loved all kinds of music and his workouts at the gym.
Christian had dreams of becoming a psychologist. He completed his undergraduate degree at Wilfrid Laurier University followed by a post graduate at Humber College and a semester of medical school in the Caribbean. He brought joy to our hearts throughout his life with daily hugs and I love you embraces. We will miss him everyday…..goodbye “Jimmy” until we meet again.
Family and friends will be received at the Smith Family Centre (in front of Smith Funeral Home), 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 1920 Wildwood Dr., Brights Grove, on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association or Ryan’s House (cheques only at the funeral home please).
