It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Owen Homer Lockhart on February 25th, 2026. He made his journey peacefully, with many family members by his side after a brief illness. We are grateful for all the wonderful moments we had with Owen, and he was definitely a beacon of light. He will always remain with us.
Beloved husband of Barbara Lenore Lockhart, loving father of Lynn Lockhart-Menzies (Scott), Owen Homer James Lockhart (Pam), and stepfather of, Darryl Stewardson, Derek Stewardson (Patricia), and David Stewardson.
Cherished grandfather of Melissa (Eric Chemerika), Michelle, and Brent Menzies, Suzanne Lockhart, and Sydney, Jason, Shae, Nathan, and Claire Stewardson, as well as 6 great grandchildren.
Treasured brother of Larry, and Bruce (Beth) Lockhart.
Predeceased by his parents, Owen M. Lockhart and Dorothy Lockhart, wife, Judith Mary MacDonald, and brother Robert Lockhart.
A private family service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, followed by interment at Lakeview Cemetery. A public celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Stokes Inland (Sidepockets) 1202 Lambton Mall Rd., Sarnia.
