It is with great sadness that the family of Marie "Louise" McCorquodale (née Boekhorst) announces her passing on November 7, 2025, at Petrolia Hospital, at the age of 86.

Cherished mother of Rose-Marie (Jan) Spooren, Barb (Glen) Fisher, Debbie (Richard) Brayton, Ross McCorquodale, and Ray (Melissa) McCorquodale. Proud grandmother of Joe (Evelien), Brett (Phylicia), Jeremy (Lenette), Eric (Ashley), Cody, Rebekah (Mike), Carson, Liam, Andra, Ethan, and Cailum. Loving great-grandmother of Caitlyn, Celeste, Livia, Jade, Vivien, Colin, Megan, Cora, Ruby, Jase, and Henry.

Louise will be fondly remembered by her siblings Larry (Carol) Boekhorst, Cathy (Fred) Bond, Eleanore Parkin, Jeanette (Fred) Rac, and Jim Boekhorst, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents Jim Sr. and Bernadette Boekhorst, father of her children Ross McCorquodale, his parents Alex and Leda McCorquodale, sister Carol Boekhorst and brother-in-law Bob Parkin, and son-in-law Joe Buchly.

Lovely Louise will be remembered for her love of sports and her years as a proud member of Hockey Moms, TOPS, CWL, and the Ladies Auxiliary Branch #62. Her tenacity shone through when she earned a college diploma later in life, which led to her passionate work helping others save money through personal tax preparation. She loved traveling to new places, enjoyed a good game of Scrabble, and always found joy in time spent with family and friends. Her Catholic faith inspired her lifelong support of charitable causes, including the Passionist Missionaries.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the medical staff at Bluewater Health – Sarnia and Petrolia for their care, compassion, and support.

Cremation has taken place. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Parish (London, ON), with interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
