It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of a beautiful soul: Janice Rae McCrea, who was born on March 27, 1962. She peacefully passed away at her home on February 13th, 2024, surrounded by her adoring family.
Janice was predeceased by her loving parents, Ray and Maxine Waddell, who cultivated her into the strong and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and best friend she became.
Cherished wife to David McCrea for over 41 years. Devoted mother of Sean (Hilary), Craig (Alisha), Sharla (Shane), Trevor, Kevin, and Trisha. Proud grandmother of Mya, Madelyn, Weston, Marcus, and Skyla. Sister to Tom (Deb) Waddell.
Janice enjoyed her life raising her six beautiful children and still found time to volunteer for church and school fundraising.
She loved her quality time with weekly family dinners and getting together with close friends. Her backyard oasis filled with an array of beautiful flowers, sunshine, and country music by the pool with family and friends was her favourite place to be.
May Janice McCrea rest in eternal peace, her memory a beacon of love and warmth that will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, 1920 Wildwood Dr, Brights Grove, on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (donations can be made online at heartandstroke.ca).
