Mary Ann Moulden passed peacefully at Bluewater Health at the age of 92.
Mary is survived by her family Laurie (Steve) Duffield, Jeff (Donna) Rockwood, Tim (Laurie) Rockwood, Jim (Laverne) Rockwood, Brian (Linda Rockwood) and Bill (Lissa) Rockwood, as well as 24 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A self-described "True Sarnian", Mary loved everything about her home town where she was born and raised…watching ships on the river with her best companion Ted Tompkins, enjoying summer and winter sports at the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club, the beach, the parks, the gardens. She was even one of the first to walk across the Blue Water Bridge when it opened, and later when it expanded. "Just Mary" was on the radio as a Master Gardner. Mary clog danced, drummed in a band, hosted Lambton College students from Indonesia, helped at Meals in Wheels – and a million things in between. All this alongside a successful, almost three-decades career at HRDC.
Mary will be missed by her best friend Joan, her golf, curling and scrabble companions – the Old Bags and the Young Bags, her Master Gardner friends, as well as many other dear friends. Mary's was most definitely a life well lived.
Our family is deeply grateful for the outstanding care and support received by the amazing CCOG nursing and support team at Bluewater Health.
A Celebration of Mary's Life and Internment will be held at a future date.
