With broken hearts we share that our beloved Heather has passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, after a courageous battle with Severe Aplastic Anemia. She faced everyday of her illness with courage, faith and an unwavering will to live-reminding everyone around her what true strength looks like. Her warmth, laughter and love never faded, even in the hardest moments and her light will continue to shine in all of us and those who were blessed to know her.

Born on August 10, 1949, Heather lived a life centered on love, family and kindness. She was a devoted partner, mother, sister and friend who always put others before herself and her love knew no limits. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, friends, poodle Tess and travelling. Those who knew her for her unwavering positivity, her quiet strength and the smile that could brighten even the darkest days. Though her battle was short, she never let her illness define her-instead she continued to live with hope, faith and gratitude until the very end.

Heather is survived by her loving partner Luigi Rocca. Beloved mom of Bethany (Jeffrey) Kelly, Bradley Ogilvie (Gary Stothers), Garrett Rocca (Gina Harlow), and Chiara (Tyler) Woychyshyn. Much loved Nana of Blair Stevens (Brett Duncan), Jordan Stevens, Makayla and Marcus Woychyshsyn. Deeply loved by sister Laurie Scott (Tom Sherman), sister-in-law Charolotte (David) Wilkins and Shelley Thurston. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She will be loved and missed by long time cherished friend Iris Eaton.

Heather is predeceased by her husband Gordon Ogilvie, parents Bruce and Aileen Scott, brother Bruce Scott, in laws Douglas and Emily Ogilvie and brothers-in-law Murray Ogilvie, Ronald Atyeo, Carl Thurston, and nephew Randy Atyeo.

Thank you to our family and friends for their unwavering love and support, and to the hospital staff at LHSC and BWH for their care and compassion during Heather's illness.

Following a private graveside service a Celebration of Heather's life will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Smith Family Centre (in front of Smith Funeral Home), 1576 London Line, Sarnia.

Heather's spirit, love and laughter live on in everyone she touched. Her strength taught us resilience, her kindness taught us compassion and her love will remain our greatest gift.

Forever in our hearts and never forgotten.

Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Sarnia & District Humane Society or Canadian Blood Services (cheques only at the funeral home please).
