Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Bluewater Health, Sarnia, on Monday May 6, 2024. John “Slim” Chester Patterson, age 92 years of Corunna. Loving husband of the late Barb. Much loved father of John Patterson (Pauline) of London, Larry Patterson (Rita) of Bradford, Ross Patterson (Erin) of Centreville, Nova Scotia, Steve Patterson (Nancy) of Etobicoke, Lynda MacGregor, Hope Meads (Ernie) and Lisa Munday (Reg Duncan) all of Corunna. John was a cherished grandfather of 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandaughter. Loving brother of June Weigel of Kitchener and Elizabeth Morris (James) of Alexandria. He was predeceased by; his son, Mark Patterson (1986); his son-in-law, Larry MacGregor (2024); his daughter-in-law, Luanne Munday (1975); his sister, Beulah Patterson and by his brother, Jarvis Patterson. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place and his family will be remembering him privately. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Kidney Foundation or to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia.
