Suddenly and unexpectedly, surrounded by loving family, on Monday, August 5, 2024, at his residence, Timothy “Tim” James Payne passed away at the age of 59. Beloved husband, best friend, and soulmate to Sherry Lee Payne. Loving father of Nelson Timothy Payne (Leanne) and Haylee Victoria Payne (Steve). Cherished grandfather to Liam, Emily, Lucus, and Natalie, and Johnny. Treasured brother of Cheryl Bourgeas and Bill Payne (Jennah). Dear son-in-law to Judy Bandak and brother-in-law to Brenda (Marc) Robinson and Chris (Melinda) Bandak. Predeceased by his parents Emma and Ross Payne, sister Debbie Cote, and brother Ross Payne Jr. Tim majored in Computer Science and Electronics at Durham College. He made the dean’s honor list. Tim had a passion for music, he played in many local bands including the 88’s, Shattered Heart, etc, throughout his life as a bass guitarist. He dearly loved his cats Tudy and Lulu. Tim loved watching Hockey. He was a true Leafs fan. Tim had a vast knowledge and interest of History.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, on Tuesday August 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
