Peacefully, surrounded by loving family on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Sumac Lodge, Claudette Riopelle passed away at the age of 81. Loving mother of Rob and Nicole Riopelle. Cherished grandmother of Michael Parks and the late Brandon Riopelle. Dear sister of Roger (Rocky) Simard, Maurice Simard, Leo Simard, Marielle Parsons, Lorraine Parker, and Yvette Collier. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and each of her siblings. Her warmth, laughter and love never faded. Claudette’s greatest joys in life included spending time with her family, camping, fishing, the outdoors, and singing and dancing with those she loved. Though her battle was long, she always tried to produce a smile whenever she could. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 21st at the Ex-Serviceman’s Club, 503 Michigan Ave, Point Edward, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
