Peacefully, with his wife by his side, on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Wiarton Hospital, Glenn Allen Ruble passed away at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Anne Ruble. Loving father of Michelle Ruble, Cara Herbstreit, and Jennifer (Wes) Brown. Cherished grandfather of Jacob Ruble, Wyatt, Reena, and Wade Herbstreit, Teran, Hailey, and Lucas Staniforth-Ruble. Treasured great grandfather of Andrew Ruble. Dear brother to Barbara (the late John) Lampkin, Sandra (the late Paul) Johnson, and Lynda (Dave) Ferguson and brother-in-law Don (Dale) Chesher. Predeceased by his parents Glenn and Rose Ruble and sister-in-law Gloria (Peter) McCutecheon. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews and his friends. Glenn had many talents. He ran his own tire shop, gas station, and worked as operations manager with the OE’s Union at Pearson’s Equipment Rental/United Rental. Glenn loved cars, fishing, his friends and family, his dogs; especially Char-lee, his best friend, and his dad Glenn Sr. But Glenn will be remembered for his dedication to the love of his life, Anne, his three daughters, and his pride and joy, his grandkids and his great grandchild. Rest in peace Glenn. You will be missed and always remembered. A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
