It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Selwah announces her passing on December 23, 2024. She passed at the age of 82 due to ongoing health challenges at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario.
Shirley was the loving wife to Jerry for 58 years and a loving mother to Larry, Lorie, Steve and Rob. Shirley was born in Toronto, Ontario and came from a loving family of two brothers and two sisters. She is predeceased by her parents, Ida and Joseph, sisters Barbara and Violet, brother Bud and daughter-in-law Trish (wife of Steve). She is survived by her husband Jerry, sons Steve and Rob and daughter Lorie.
Shirley worked hard all of her life, from her early years as a superintendent of multiple apartment buildings to several years at Burger King and finally 18 years at Toys R Us where she eventually retired. Shirley loved gardening, painting, baking, collecting fairies and Barbies, doing crosswords, was an avid reader and loved her family, especially her daughter-in-law Jennifer and her two daughters (Shirley’s granddaughters) Jordan and Allison.
As per Shirley’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Sarnia Cremation Services.
