Died peacefully on May 12, 2025 in her 94th year.
She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years Richard (Dick) Stewart.
Catherine is survived by her daughter Nancy Grondin and sons Mike Stewart (Carol), and Rick
Stewart (Donna).
Grandchildren – Craig Grondin (Alicia), Jennifer Grondin (Chris West), Trevor Grondin (Vera Spineanu), Sarah Stewart (Hector Sahade), Jeff Stewart, Erin Hilker (Tyler) and several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Also survived by nieces and nephews.
We all have fond and happy memories of time spent with her especially around the pool on Blackwell Road.
Special thanks to the caregivers on Superior floor of Vision Nursing home. We really appreciate your love, care and kindness toward Catherine.
Cremation has occurred and there will be an Open House to be held at the Smith Family Centre (in front of Smith Funeral Home), 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Sunday, May 25, 2025 from 1- 3 PM with Words of Tribute at 1:30 PM.
Donations can be made to the Inn of Good Shepherd (cheques only at the funeral home, please).
