It is with great sadness that the family of George Elery Stubbs announce his passing at Exeter Villa on Saturday, March 16, 2024 in his 82nd year. Beloved brother of Lloyd & Judy Stubbs of South Walden, Wayne & Dawn Stubbs of Port Franks, Jean & Keith Curry of Thedford and Lyle & Brenda Stubbs of Clinton. Cherished uncle of several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Predeceased by parents Earl & Fay (Borthwick), brother Bruce and sister Inez.
George absolutely loved to work at the Woodshop at Dashwood Wood Products and would often talk to his family about what creations he was working on. George was known to ride his bike everywhere, especially to other towns events.
The family would like to thank the staff of Exeter Villa for their great care and making George feel at home.
A Celebration of George’s Life will be held at Gilpin Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment at Pinehill Cemetery with Rev. Jim Haupt officiating.
