Dorothy Stute passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 11, 2024, at the age of 96. She is the sister of Fred Stute and the late Leona (Tom) Watson. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends. Dorothy was a devoted mother-figure to André Fiset for over 50 years, with whom she had a wonderful and special bond.
Dorothy was the owner of Beacon Cleaners for over 50 years. She professed faith in Christ Jesus when she was only 13 years old. She was passionate and dedicated in her faith. In recent years, she was in happy fellowship at the Oil Springs Gospel Hall until the end. She loved psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, and poetry, so many of which she committed to memory. She appreciated the care given to her during the past few years of her life at Albany Retirement Village in Petrolia, Ontario, where she was adored.
A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with family and friends being received at 12:00 p.m., with interment to follow at Blackwell Cemetery, Sarnia.
