Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on February 6th, 2025, at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Tim passed away at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Marilyn Taylor (Nee Donovan) for 50 loving years. Loving father of Mandy (Steve) and Heidi Bois (Brian). Cherished grandfather of Dylan (Max), Madison (David), Maddox, and Boston. Treasured brother of Jean (Tom) Potthoff, Dave, and John. Predeceased by his parents Neil and Ruby Taylor, his in-laws Renee and Charles Donovan, his brother Tom, brother-in-law Mark Donovan, and his niece Janine Boynton. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, many dear friends, and his extended family in Australia.
Tim proudly represented Canada in boxing, serving multiple times as the captain of Team Canada. One of his fondest memories was sharing a drink with his friend, Prince Philip. A celebrated athlete, he was inducted into the Sarnia-Lambton Sports Hall of Fame and named Sportsman of the Year. Beyond competition, he shared his passion for the sport as a coach at River City Boxing Club. He cherished life’s simple joys driving through Canatara Park with his beloved dog, Milo, enjoying a McDonald’s Big Mac and Coke, and taking trips to Niagara Falls. A lifelong Superman fan. His faith in the Lord was unwavering, bringing comfort to his family, who found peace in knowing he is now in heaven.
A special thank you to the staff at Meadowview, George Esser, Stuart Chute, Terry and Kathy, and Rivercity Vineyard for all of their love and care throughout the years.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at River City on Thursday, February 13th, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. until time of service at 2:30 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to a charity of choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
