It is with deep love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Tourigny on November 9, 2025.
Born on September 14, 1945, in Sault Ste. Marie, Judy was the devoted mother of Cindy, Shelley, and Christopher. She leaves behind five beloved grandchildren- Ella, Nina, Lily, Arlo, and Autumn and her sister, Lillian. Judy was predeceased by her parents, Helen and Robert, and her sisters, Donna and Shirley.
Judy was a private, kind, and quietly generous woman whose warmth shone brightest in her kitchen. She loved to feed people, and those lucky enough to sit at her table knew her cooking as an act of love. Her butterscotch pie alone could bring a grown man to tears, and her easy, infectious laugh made her home a place of comfort and joy for all who entered.
She found delight in her family – in their stories, their laughter, and even their everyday challenges. Judy had a rare gift for noticing beauty in life’s smallest moments, and for adding beauty back into the world through her care, her craft, and her presence.
For her family, no amount of time with Judy could ever have been enough. But the time we had with her meant everything. Her legacy of love will forever remain the heart of our family.
