It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Martin Van Dyke, age 96, surrounded by loving family, on April 03, 2025 at Marshall Gowland Manor. He is survived by his wife Pauline Van Dyke of over 70 years, and loving father of Cathy Kelch (Chris), John Van Dyke (Sandy), Dave Van Dyke (Donna), Marty Van Dyke (Cindy), Rosemary Crowdis (John). He is the cherished grandfather of Kyla, Chelsea, and Marlo Kelch. Jessica, Nick, Brian, Alex and Julie Van Dyke. Curtis and Carson Van Dyke. Connor and Laura Crowdis. Olivia, Keaton and Brendan Van Dyke as well as 4 great grandchildren. Martin is treasured brother of Dina and predeceased by brother Jan, and sisters Henricka and Joanne of The Netherlands. Martin was also the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. His family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Marshall Gowland for their warm care of Martin during his last stages of dementia. A funeral service will be held at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation held two hours prior from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Sarnia Lambton.
