Peacefully, surrounded by family at Vision Nursing Home, Sarnia, on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, Maria Blandina Veiga passed away at the age of 80. Predeceased by her beloved husband Manuel (2016). Loving mother of Valdemar (Lorna), Dino (Lori) and Jeff (Laura). Cherished grandmother of Samantha (Kevin), Dean, Joel (Jordan), and Jamie. Treasured great-grandmother of Bentley, Jocelyn, and Haylie. She will be deeply missed by many nieces and nephews, and the extended family. Maria loved to knit and crochet. She sewed her own dresses. Maria was also known for her delicious baking. A special thank you to the staff at Vision Nursing Home and Bluewater Health for their kindness and care.
A funeral service will be held at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, 1011 Oak Ave, Sarnia, on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to charity of choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
